24 And his [the Little Horn's] power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people .

INTRODUCTION & REVIEW

In our last study of Daniel 8:12 part 6 entitled "The Little Horn uses a counterfeit gospel that says you must believe to be saved," we saw how the Little Horn or ANTICHRIST , who is the counterfeit Christ that God installed to rule over the entire corporate Christian Church beginning on May 21,1988 (for " judgment [had to] begin at the House of God " -1Peter 4:17), was used to bring an end to eternal salvation in and thru any and all Christian churches, as we saw in Daniel 8:11 that this Little Horn had " taken away the daily sacrifice ," namely, the Holy Spirit removed Himself from the midst of the whole corporate Christian Church on May 21,1988, which took away all restraint from this Little Horn (also called the Antichrist, the counterfeit Christ, the Beast, and the Abomination of Desolation) being able to enter into the corporate Christian Church to sit down and rule over them (read 2Thessalonians 2:7-8 and listen to 2thessalonians 2:1-11 ), and this was amazingly done without virtually anyone in the Christian churches even knowing it; and, ever since then, this Little Horn, the Antichrist, also known as the counterfeit Christ, has been deceiving almost all of them with his false gospels; signs and wonders, including counterfeit salvations, healings, and making people to fall backward; along with many other deceptions and lies.

One of the major false gospels the Little Horn has been using, we saw in our last two studies of Daniel 8:12 part 5 and part 6 , is the one which teaches that Christ died for the sins of every single last Human being, and now it is up to each individual person to believe in or choose Christ in order to be eternally saved . Salvation, then, according to this false gospel, depends, at least in part, on one's good work of believing in or choosing Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, as if people were even capable of believing in and choosing the true God themselves when they are not, for all that have been conceived in a womb, which is everyone, we learned, are conceived already spiritually dead toward the true God in Adam, and, therefore, incapable of believing in or choosing Him; and no one that is spiritually dead toward the true God by nature has ever brought themselves to life by spiritual resurrection from the dead. No, Christ must call each particular person who He predestined from before the foundation of the world to spiritual life Himself, and when He did do that before the Day of Salvation came to an end on May 21,2011, like when He said, " Lazarus, come forth " and he did (John 11:43), each one of them spiritually rose from the dead to new life in Christ Jesus when He had spiritually called their names. And He called each particular one of His people to spiritual resurrection and life eternal through the hearing of the word of God, for as Holy Scripture declares, " faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God " (Romans 10:17). Indeed, at a preplanned and predestined specific time during each of His people's lives (a few while they were still in the womb, such as John the Baptist, for instance, but most, after being born, outside of the womb), they either read or heard the word of God through which God spiritually raised them from the dead to eternal life in Jesus Christ. We did nothing to be eternally saved themselves, but God did it all: 100% of it; otherwise, if we had played any part in our own salvations by even the smallest of good deeds such as by just believing in Christ, for instance, we will have broken the Sabbath Day, punishable by death on the Last Day (see Keeping the Sabbath Day holy? ). Each one of us who belong to the true God were not even spiritually capable of hearing the word of God until God, simultaneously with our hearing the word of God, brought us to spiritual life so that we could begin to spiritually hear His word. O yes, before we were spiritually saved, like all the rest, the word of God may have physically entered our ears, vibrated our eardrums, and electrical signals were sent to our brains to be interpreted, a kind of bodily work being done, if you will, but until we were each spiritually raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit and so could then truly and spiritually begin to hear the word of God, there was no power to spiritually and eternally save us. No, before God opened our ears to spiritually hear, hearing or reading God's word was just like hearing the words from any old book; they had no real power to eternally and spiritually resurrect any of us from the dead to eternal salvation.

So, even before any possibility for eternal salvation came to an end by May 21,2011, and God's final period of judgment came upon the entire world, eternal salvation never came by the work of physically or bodily hearing or reading of God's word, nor by the work of believing in, receiving, or choosing Christ, nor by doing any other good work or thing for that matter, " lest any man should boast " (Ephesians 2:8-9). Instead, eternal salvation came 100% by God alone, even from before the world was even created, when He first predestined that a remnant, each known by name, would be eternally saved, " not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy ... by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost " (Titus 3:5). It had absolutely nothing to do with us at all! " So then it is not of him that willeth [it is not by our choosing Christ] nor of him that runneth [it is not by our doing good works] but of God that sheweth mercy ." And what then does Holy Scripture say, " therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth " (Romans 9:16-18). And once again, " Which were born, not of blood [not by our having physically descended from another], nor of the will of the flesh [not of our choosing or believing in Christ], nor of the will of man [not by the choosing of any other human beings], but of God " (John 1:13).

Now, besides having learned that being eternally saved could never be accomplished by one doing the good work of believing in, receiving, or choosing Christ; nor by any other work of any kind for that matter, and, therefore, the false gospel that says Christ died for the sins of every single last person, and now it is up to each person to do their part to be eternally saved, is a lie and deception of the devil (because, oh yes, a person can believe in, receive, and choose who that person may think is Jesus Christ by their own mind or power, or by Satan's and his demons' power, without that person's faith truly originating from having been born from above or spiritually resurrected to new life in Jesus Chris), we also learned this counterfeit gospel is a lie or deception because, contrary to what it teaches, Christ did not die for the sins of every single last person. No, we learned that Christ only died for a remnant of specifically named people from every nation who were predestined and chosen to be eternally saved when they were from before the world was even created through the hearing or reading of the word of God or the gospel. And if God had not chosen and predestined a remnant to be eternally saved, none would have been saved due to every human being's natural born nature of being spiritually dead toward the true God, which means no human being could have ever been able to spiritually resurrect themselves unto eternal life. Therefore, instead of rejecting the Doctrines of Predestination and Election , we, the true children of God, praise Him for them; otherwise, we would have never been eternally saved, for we ourselves, being spiritually dead toward the true God at conception in the womb like all the rest, would have never been able to spiritually rise from the dead to eternal life; nor believe in, receive, or choose the true Christ; nor will we ever be able to physically resurrect ourselves on the Last Day either and given sinless, incorruptible, and glorious new bodies. Thus, we shout,

" Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created " (Revelation 4:11).

And again,

" Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen " (Revelation 7:12).

Well, with that short review of what we covered in Daniel 8:12 part 5 and part 6 , there are a couple more verses we did not yet cover in Daniel 8 which speak about this Little Horn. They are part of the interpretation that the angel Gabriel gave to Daniel of what Daniel had just previously seen in his vision about this Little Horn. Remember, we already covered the verses 9-12 in Daniel 8 about the Little Horn, but let's briefly comment on them to once again refresh our minds on what we have already learned about this Little Horn, and then we will learn even more about this Little Horn by seeing more on just what the angel Gabriel interpreted Daniel's vision of the Little Horn to mean in verses 24-25. We will only cover verse 24 in this study, but we will look at verse 25 in our next study. But now, let's review what Daniel saw in his vision about this Little Horn. We read in verses 9-12,

9 And out of one of them [out of one of the 4 horns from the previous verse, which 4 horns represented the worldwide strength and power of Satan] came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great , toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land .
10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them .
11 Yea, he magnified himself [or made himself great] even to the prince of the host [Jesus Christ], and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary [the corporate Christian Church] was cast down .
12 And an host [an army of counterfeit Christians and demons] was given him against the daily sacrifice [against the one-time sacrifice forever, Jesus Christ] by reason of transgression [because of the sins of the Church], and it cast down the truth [Jesus Christ] to the ground [to the earth, which spiritually means it cast down the truth, which is Jesus Christ, in the Church because, spiritually, the earth symbolizes the Church]; and it practised, and prospered .

But now, with respect to this Little Horn, the angel Gabriel sums these verses up for Daniel. He says to Daniel in his vision,

Daniel 8:24 And his [the Little Horn's] power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people .

What jumps out at us first is that we are told that " his [the Little Horn's] power shall be mighty, but not by his own power ." Remember, as the devil came as the Antichrist (the counterfeit Christ), he was called the Little Horn because compared to the great power and strength worldwide that the devil had been given to bring judgment against the whole world beginning on May 21,1988 when he was released from the pit, which great worldwide power and strength was represented by the four horns that had arisen in the place of the Great Horn that had been broken (see verse 8 ), Satan's power and strength worldwide by which he came against the corporate Christian Church was only a small portion of his overall worldwide power and strength at that time. Hence, Satan, in his coming as the Antichrist or counterfeit Christ to bring God's Judgment against the whole Christian Church, was called the Little Horn (little strength and power when compared to the whole of Satan's worldwide strength and power at that time). And remember, because God had removed the Holy Spirit from the midst of the corporate Christian Church, which includes all Christian churches, beginning on May 21,1988 ( 2Thessalonians 2:7-8 ), there was no spiritual protection in the midst of the whole Chrisitan Church any longer, which made it easy for Satan to take up his seat of rule in the corporate Christian Church and revealed as the counterfeit holy spirit and Christ, the Antichrist that was prophesied to come, and who did come and was revealed by Holy Scripture on May 21,1988, the Little Horn (also called the Man of Sin, the Abomination of Desolation, and the Beast), to deceive the whole world and the whole corporate Christian Church, which all Christian churches belong, into worshipping him with almost no one even realizing it (see Revelation 13:4 , 8 , 12 , and 14 ).

And now, we begin to understand just why " his [the Little Horn's] power [was] mighty ." First of all, on May 21,1988, the devil and Antichrist was released from being bound in the pit in which he had been bound ever since the time of the cross in order to keep him from being able to thwart the gospel from successfully going out to every nation; and therefore, no longer being bound ever since May 21,1988, Satan instantly then had much more power to deceive and ruin the Christian Church as the Little Horn. Then combine that with the Holy Spirit having departed out from any longer protecting the whole corporate Christian Church at that same time (see 2Thessalonians 2:7-8 in the text of why depart out from all churches? ), Satan only needed a little power and strength to then overcome the Christian churches. Hence, in respect to his coming against the Christian churches in the final days, he was termed the Little Horn, referring to the Little Strength and Power that was needed (when compared with the overall strength and power he had been given throughout the world at that time), to set himself up as ruler in the Christian Church to be the counterfeit Christ, the Antichrist, " to steal, and to kill, and to destroy " God's people, for " The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy " (John 10:10).

So, with God having released Satan from the pit on May 21,1988, and His having also removed the Holy Spirit from within the Christian churches at that time as well, all to begin the Great Tribulation, which was a spiritual Great Tribulation against all the Christian churches by the removal of true eternal salvation from among their midst and replaced with a counterfeit salvation of the Antichrist or Little Horn, the counterfeit Christ, Satan himself, we can see why verse 24 of Daniel says, " And his [the Little Horn's] power shall be mighty, but not by his own power ." No, it was not by Satan's, the Little Horn's, own power that made him mighty, but it was God's power that made him mighty because it was God who had, not only released the devil from the pit, giving him the power to conquer the whole Christian Church, but He also removed the protection of the Holy Spirit in all the Christian churches, which is what made it certain for Satan, that Little Horn, to succeed in his conquering of the whole Christian Church. Indeed, the Little Horn's power became so mighty because of God Himself! He made it so that the devil would ruin all the Christian churches to begin His Final Judgment on the world at the House of God, for Holy Scripture declared, " judgment must begin at the House of God " (1Peter 4:17).

Now, continuing with our verse 24 of Daniel 8, it further states, " and he [that Little Horn] shall destroy wonderfully ." The word here translated as " wonderfully " can just as well be translated as " marvelously " or " amazingly ;" and the word " destroy " can just as well be translated as " ruin ." So, the verse can be translated, " and he [that Little Horn] shall ruin marvelously [or amazingly ] ." And by the use of these words " wonderfully " or " marvelously " or " amazingly ," we get a sense that the way this Little Horn destroyed or ruined so wonderfully, marvelously, or amazingly is like a trick that a magician does to cause everyone to marvel, wonder, or be amazed at him as if he were God. And certainly, the Little Horn who is the counterfeit Christ, the Antichrist, Satan himself has certainly tricked all the Christian churches (except, of course, the eternal Church or Elect that have long since come out of their churches in obedience to Christ ) to marvel, wonder, or be amazed after him as if he were Christ himself even though he is not. We read in 2Thessalonians 2,

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day [the day of Christ's coming] shall not come, except there come a falling away first [this is the already-have-taken-place falling away from Christ of the corporate Christian Church that includes all Christian churches] , and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition [ the Antichrist or counterfeit Christ, the devil himself and not a man , also, of course, called the Little Horn, the Beast, and the Abomination of Desolation].
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God [the corporate Christian Church, which includes all Christian churches - see 1Cor. 3:16-17; 2Cor. 6:16] , shewing himself that he is God .
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things ?

You see, the great trick that the Little Horn did to cause the whole Christian Church to wonder, marvel, or be amazed after him, even in worship of him, as if he were very God himself was his trick of mimicking the true Christ and Holy Spirit in the Christian churches with the help of all his fallen angels or demons as well as all his counterfeit Christians. Indeed, with the true Holy Spirit having departed out from all the Christian churches beginning on May21,1988 at the beginning of the Great Tribulation, which was completely spiritual, Satan, the Little Horn and Antichrist, grabbed the opportunity to become what seemed to be the perfect counterfeit holy spirit and Christ in the whole Christian Church and rule over all the Christian churches without virtually anyone realizing it even to this day. God, who removed Himself, the true Holy Spirit, from the midst of and protecting the Christian Church (2Thessalonians 2:7-8), made this all happen to begin bringing His Judgment against His Own Church in agreement with Holy Scripture, for " judgment [had to] begin at the House of God " (1Peter 4:17). Hence, as we previously learned, it was " not by his [the Little Horn's] own power ," but by God's removal of His own power of protection within the Christian churches and His unleashing of Satan from the pit that permitted the counterfeit Christ, the ultimate Antichrist and Little Horn, the devil himself, to take over control of the whole corporate Christian Church, which includes every Christian church on this earth without exception, except, of course, God's only eternal Church, namely all His Elect who obeyed Christ to depart out from all the Christian churches . But because those now in the Christian churches did not see the devil and Antichrist take over their church with their physical eyes, and business is as usual, they can't believe that it happened. In fact, they immediately think we are false prophets or deceived ourselves. Yes, without question, the Little Horn has destroyed or ruined marvelously, wonderfully, and amazingly! And because God is blinding all who have remained in their Christian churches by disobedience to the true understanding of the Endtime events, for they can't see them with their own physical eyes, nor hear them with their own physical ears, blinding especially the prophets, teachers, and leaders in the Christian churches, they all stumble in judgment, being deceived, just as the Holy Spirit said they would when He declared,

9 Even him [the counterfeit Christ and Little Horn, the Antichrist, Satan himself], whose coming [which was on May 21,1988 by careful Bible study] is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders [counterfeit salvations, revivals, miracles, and healings; the being made to fall backwards , the counterfeit hearing of voices and having dreams supposably from God, the so-called "words of knowledge," the speaking in tongues , all other extrabiblical revelations, and much more].
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved .
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie [for instance, the lie of the Holy Spirit still saving people, or the lie that Christ still rules in their churches, or the lie that they are worshipping Christ in their churches when they are actually worshipping the counterfeit Christ and Little Horn, the devil himself without knowing it, and all the other lies].
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness .

And now, finally, our verse 24 concludes with saying that this Little Horn " shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people ." In that this Little Horn " shall prosper " simply means that in his destroying or ruining of the Christian Church by his might, he is quite prosperous or successful, and in that he " shall practice " means he works or acts quite effectively in bringing all this about. Then we are told, " and [this Little Horn] shall destroy the mighty and the holy people ," which immediately leads to the question, who are the mighty and holy people? These, of course, could be none other than God's very own people who, in the New Covenant, are no longer the nation of Israel as a whole like during the Old Covenant, but rather that remnant from every nation, Jew and Gentile alike, that Christ died and rose from the dead for, namely His Elect Ones and Body of Christ, the true Israel, who were normally found in all the true Christian churches worldwide, at least up until they were all called to and did depart out from all the Christian churches during the Great Tribulation by May 21,2011, immediately after which came the final days of God's Judgment upon the whole world, that Day of Yahweh, that we are now in with no more eternal salvation any longer possible anywhere in the entire world.

So, since " the mighty and holy people" are all the true Christians who were, for the most part, found in all the true Christian churches worldwide for most of the New Testament period that began at Pentecost on May 21 of 33 AD and were still found in these Christian churches at the time when the Great Tribulation and God's Judgment on the Christian churches came on May 21,1988, when we read in our verse 24, " and [this Little Horn] shall destroy the mighty and the holy people ," it means that this Little Horn would destroy God's true people in the Christian churches. And, because the word translated as " destroy " could just as well be translated as " ruin ," we are being told that this Little Horn would " ruin " God's true people, and this latter translation is more consistent with what actually happened during the Great Tribulation. Indeed, God's people were not, for the most part, physically destroyed in that they were physically killed and, therefore, destroyed. No, they, the two witnesses of Revelation 11 , were spiritually killed (silenced) in the Christian churches and, therefore, spiritually destroyed, killed, or ruined in their being able to proclaim all the Biblical truths and judgment about these final days of the world, such as God's Judgment upon all Christian churches beginning on May 21,1988, the end of the Church Age on May 21,1988, the end to true eternal salvation in and thru all the Christian churches beginning on May 21,1988, Christ's command for His true people to depart out from all the Christian churches during the Great Tribulation from May 21,1988 to May 21,2011, the saving of the Great Multitude of Revelation 7 outside of the Christian churches during the Latter Rain from September 7, 1994 to May 21,2011 of the Great Tribulation, the worldwide end to eternal salvation everywhere and God's Final Judgment on the whole world beginning on May 21,2011, Satan's rulership over all the Christian churches beginning on May 21,1988 as God's Judgment against them; the final and ultimate fulfillment of the coming and revealing of the Antichrist on May 21,1988, being Satan himself and not a man , ruling in and over the whole Chrisitan Church as the counterfeit Christ or gospel; the spiritual end of the world on May 21,2011, the Mark of the Beast being completely spiritual and placed upon all the counterfeit Christians in all the Christian churches during the already taken place Great Tribulation so that only they are able to spiritually buy and sell; that is, only they can bring their false Endtime teachings and gospels in the Church (see Revelation 13:17 part 1 and part 2 ); the truth bearers, therefore, the Elect or 2 witnesses not able to buy and sell, namely not able to bring many truths of God's word into the Christian churches or they would be spiritually killed (silenced) ; and there are many other truths of God's word not being proclaimed in these final days because God's true people have been spiritually killed (silenced). Yes, the Little Horn marvelously ruined or spiritually destroyed the true people of God in the Christian churches until they finally obeyed their Lord to depart out from all their churches because their churches are destined to complete destruction, first spiritually as they all now are already, but then physically as well on the Last Day when this world is burned up and a new heaven and earth is created, and all God's people already in heaven, that new Jerusalem, shall descend to the new heaven and earth to dwell therein forever in their new bodies of glory and incorruption with their Lord; and they shall rule and reign with Him forever. All glory and majesty to our one and only Almighty God and creator for whom nothing is too difficult: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; three persons, all one and the same God, Amen.

Now, until the next time, may " Yahweh bless thee, and keep thee: Yahweh make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: Yahweh lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace " (Numbers 6:24-26).
