So far, what is the most likely date for the end?
July 4, 2017 is possible, but May 20, 2018 is more probable
By Brother Mike (4-3-16; 15 minutes)
What I'd like to do in this short message is answer the question: based on my knowledge at this time, what do I think is the most likely date for the end?
Well, if you will remember, there are two possible dates that I had come up with some time ago. There is the possible date of July 4th, 2017, and there is the possible date of May 21, 2018. The July 4th, 2017 date was hypothesized based on the possibility that October 7, 2015 when many thought the end would come was actually the date in the flood account, which spiritual flood began on May 21, 2011, when Noah sent out the dove that returned unto him empty. Assuming this was true, it was calculated by the use of ratios that July 4th, 2017 could be the end date (to see how this was calculated, see
Is July 4th, 2017 Heaven
9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years .
We had learned in a past study of Ezekiel 39:7-10
Now, May 20, 2018 is a very important day in the Hebrew calendar (see

1
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place
.
2
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting
.
3
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them
.
4
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance
.
5
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven
.
6
Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language
.
7
And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans
?
8
And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born
?
9
Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia
,
10
Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes
,
11
Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God
.
12
And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this
?
13
Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine
.
14
But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words
:
15
For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day
.
16
But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel
;
17
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams
:
18
And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy
:
19
And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke
:
20
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come
:
21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved
.
Now, let's examine the last three verses that I just read more closely. Once again, they read,
19
And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke
:
20
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come
:
21
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved
.
Notice that the Lord says, And I will shew wonders in heaven in verse 19, and then mentions those signs in verse 20, namely the sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood. And, verse 19 not only says that I will shew wonders in the heaven above, but it also says, and I will show signs in the earth beneath. These signs in the earth beneath are listed in verse 19 as blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke.
Now, we know what these signs are referring to from previous studies: They are referring to spiritual Judgment Day, which began on May 21, 2011 and continues unto the Last Day. This is when, spiritually speaking, the sun [is] turned into darkness, and when the moon [is] turned into blood, and when there is blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke. The sun in the Bible is representative of Christ Himself; the moon is representative of the law of Yahweh, which reflects the glory of the sun while blood, fire, and vapor of smoke represent judgment itself. For the Sun to be turned to darkness means that the light of Christ, which is the gospel, has been made dark so that there is no longer any saving light during Judgment Day. The moon turned to blood means that the law is now only bringing judgment, which is symbolized in that the law is turned into blood; that is, the law is only shedding blood in judgment. The blood, fire and vapor of smoke, of course, are all symbolic of judgment itself. So, what verses 19 and 20 of Acts 2 are telling us is that before that great and notable day of the Lord come, spiritual Judgment Day would take place first, for, once again, we read in verses 19 and 20,
19
And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke
:
20
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come
. . .
What may be of great import is that that great and notable day of the Lord is mentioned here in the same breath as the outpouring of the Spirit on Pentecost, and we read right after the mentioning of that great and notable day of the Lord,
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved .
Could this be a reference to not only those who would be spiritually saved from Pentecost onward, but also a reference to all the elect who will call on the name of the Lord on the Last Day who will be saved physically from the destruction of this world just previous to them being raptured. If so, then it appears that that great and notable day of the Lord could be giving reference to the day of Pentecost. To put it another way, since we find that that great and notable day of the Lord is mixed in here with a declaration about the outpouring of the Spirit on Pentecost, could that great and notable day of the Lord actually be identified with Pentecost itself, which would be why we read right after the mention of that great and notable day of the Lord,
21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved ?
In other words, the verse, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord seems to have a double application. First, it refers to the time period beginning at Pentecost in 33 AD when whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be [spiritually] saved. But, it also seems to refer to the time period right before the end on the Last Day when all of Yahweh's elect shall call upon the name of the Lord and are saved from the destruction of this world by being raptured. This is why we read of that great and notable day of the Lord, and then right after it that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
What this all means is that the Last Day, which is that great and notable day of the Lord could be on Pentecost. And, since the seven years of Ezekiel 39:9 when applied to May 21, 2011 bring us exactly to Pentecost on May 20, 2018, it could be lending support for this date being the end. So, yes, there seems to be some support for the Last Day coming on May 20, 2018. First, the seven years of Ezekiel 39:9 applied to May 21, 2011 just happens to bring us exactly to the day of Pentecost on May 20, 2018. Second, the 7 years of Ezekiel 39:9 in the Bible represents the perfect completion of whatever is in view, which in this case is Judgment Day (see
